Custom Recommendations

When it comes to governance and voting, Manifest recognises that “one size does not fit all” and no two investors are exactly alike. In 1995 Manifest pioneered the development of customer-specific “voting templates” based on bespoke policy guidelines. Manifest Voting Templates are based on objective criteria and the current voting policies of the world’s most active institutional investors.

Global Best Practice

At the heart of our research is a detailed understanding of local markets laws, listing rules and regulations. Voting guidelines are also based on national codes and guidelines, such as, for example the National Association of Pension Funds in the UK, or supra-national bodies such as the OECD. Alternatively they may be a hybrid of national and global best practice.

Clients select guidelines that best reflect their in-house philosophy and, once approved, will automatically deliver vote recommendations on a vote by vote, company by company basis. You can be assured that whatever your policy you will benefit from analysis which pays attention to all the issues but leaves you – the investment professional – to make your own choices.

Custom Policy Groups

For maximum flexibility, customised policies and guidelines can be allocated across all funds or, if required, groups of accounts can be allocated their own bespoke policies.

Advanced Reports

Manifest also provides record-keeping and reporting reporting tools which show when the agenda was voted, how it was voted and the rationale for the final decision.
