'No' vote forecast for Vodafone
AGM
Investors are expected to turn out in force at Vodafone's annual
general meeting on Thursday to protest against the company's plans to
award multi-million one-off bonuses to certain directors.
The bonuses follow the successful completion of the
Vodafone/Mannesmann deal.
Chris Baldry, manager of the National
Association of Pension Funds' Voting Issues Service (VIS), said that he expects
a large "anti vote" for the one-off bonuses through abstentions and votes
against the company's remuneration structure.
