Local branches keep members informed of IOD events in the area and local business issues. Branches also organise a range of events which provide opportunities to meet with fellow members.

Position towards government: If there is an area of government policy that effects business then the IOD can be relied upon to comment and will praise as well as criticise the government of the day.
