EMI | LogicaCMG | Millennium & Copthorne Hotels

Eric Nicoli has stepped down as chief executive of EMI ahead of the music group’s de-listing, which is currently scheduled for around 18 September. Terra Firma, EMI’s new private equity owner, also announced a new governance structure for the company, which will see the EMI board reporting to a new supervisory board.

David Tyler has been appointed non-executive chairman of LogicaCMG, the IT services company, effective 1 November. Tyler, who joined LogicaCMG as deputy chairman in July 2007, succeeds Cor Stutterheim. Stutterheim has chaired the company since the merger of Logica and CMG in 2002. He was chairman of CMG for seven years prior to the merger.

However, LogicaCMG has not yet appointed a permanent replacement for Martin Read as chief executive.

Peter Papadimitropoulos has stood down as chief executive of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels “by mutual consent” and with immediate effect. While a search is made for a new chief executive, the position will be temporarily assumed by Wong Hong Ren, an executive director.

Papadimitropoulos is the third chief executive to leave the company in as many years.
