Gold miner sues former CEO
Southwestern Resources has commenced legal action against its former chief executive, John Paterson, accusing him of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and insider trading.
Southwestern is currently embroiled in a scandal over its Boka project in
southern China. In July, the company announced it had found errors in
previously reported assay results for the project, and an investigation has
now found mineral resources at Boka to be significantly less than previously
reported.
The company is also attempting to pursue action against John Zhang, its
former general manager for the Boka project.
