Sir Julian Horn-Smith has resigned as non-executive
chairman of Sage, the software company.
Horn-Smith said: “After careful consideration the board agreed that the
differences in style and culture meant the change was necessary. I felt that the
best solution was for me to stand down as chairman”. Tony Hobson, a
non-executive director, will become acting chairman with immediate effect.
Simon Pryce has been appointed chief executive of
BBA Aviation, effective 11 June. Pryce
joins BBA from GKN, the engineering business, where he is currently chief
executive of its diversified businesses group.
Patrick Snowball, current UK head of insurer
Aviva, is to leave the group at the end of
June in order to assume the deputy chairmanship of
Towergate Partnership.
Sean Mahon has decided to retire as chief executive of
Cattles, the consumer finance group, and
will stand down later this year. Mahon joined the company in 2000 and is aged
61.
